Benefit Options

Life Benefit:

• Pays up to $500,000 in the event of your death or if you are diagnosed with a terminal illness².

Loan and Rent Assistance Benefit:¹

• Pays up to $4,500 per month in the event that an illness or injury leaves you totally disabled² for more than 30 days.
• Once eligible to receive a payment, you will receive your agreed benefit, monthly for a minimum of 3 months and to a maximum of 6 months.
• You won't have to pay your premium when on claim.

Redundancy Benefit: ¹

• Pays up to $4,500 per month in the event you find yourself unable to work, due to involuntary redundancy, for more than 30 days.
• Once eligible to receive a payment, you will receive your agreed benefit, monthly for 3 months.
• You won't have to pay your premium when on claim.
• This benefit is only available when you take the Loan and Rent Assistance Benefit.
• You will not be able to claim for a redundancy that occurs in the first 90 days from the policy's start date.

Exclusions

ABC Bank Easy Life and Living has a number of exclusions which it is important you understand before considering whether it is the right product for you.

Pre-existing condition exclusion (PEC):

• You are not covered for any benefit under ABC Bank Easy Life and Living for a pre-existing condition that either directly or indirectly caused or contributed to any illness, injury or medical condition that a claim is being made for.
• A pre-existing condition is any illness, injury or medical condition, or sign or symptom of a medical condition that a reasonable person would have sought treatment for, or for which they had sought medical treatment or advice, in the five years before the commencement of the policy. This includes any medical condition(s), which had not necessarily been diagnosed, but of which they had signs or symptoms.
• If a claim under an ABC Bank Easy Life and Living policy is directly or indirectly related to this medical condition, then this claim is likely to be declined.

Hazardous activity exclusion:

• You will also not be covered under ABC Bank Easy Life and Living if your claim is directly or indirectly caused or contributed to by participating in a hazardous activity as specified in the policy.
