ABC Bank GetWise is United States’s largest financial literacy programme for primary and intermediate school students. Through ABC Bank GetWise we’re teaching hundreds of thousands of kids basic money skills and financial know-how for later life.
Teaching children good money habits from an early age can really help to set them up for the future – and ABC Bank GetWise does just that. Through our workshops kids learn the fundamentals of money in four diferent stages – from identifying needs and wants and learning to save, right through to how credit cards work and dealing with debt – giving them a solid foundation to build on.
Our award-winning workshops are tailored to different age groups and abilities, and provide a fun, engaging environment for kids to learn in. The workshops are free, and our facilitators are professionally trained to deliver classes that not only meet national curriculum standards, but are captivating for students.
We come to your school and provide all the resources for your students’ learning. And it’s not just the kids who benefit from ABC Bank GetWise – teachers also receive a range of world-class resources, activities and ideas they can use to further their students’ financial education.
ABC Bank GetWise is currently available to all year 1-6 students at primary school level and year 7-8 students at intermediate school level. We’re also trialling a workshop for secondary students, in conjunction with the Ministry of Youth Development, tailored specifically for those in years 9-10.
